President’s Message Welcome to the upcoming 2010 Baseball Season! Please remember that, as parents, you are the biggest fans a kid can have. So be a fan of the game and supportive of the kids on the Diamonds as they play ball this year. Success and failure come hand-in-hand, and will teach them a lot about life, as well as the game of baseball. In either case, just remember that the kids are always encouraged to do their best, and we rely on all fans to cheer them on! Dedicated volunteers, before games actually get underway, have a lot of work do every year, behind the scenes. East Park executive members meet once a month to organize, plan and execute the leagues many functions. Over the past couple of season we have had to restructure our board, and we have a Major Division Director position open and will need to fill this position for the season. We are also looking for an assistant equipment manager to train and take over for Lorne Elkow as he may be stepping down at the end of this season. The executive meets the first Sunday of the month at 7:00pm at the Ottewell hall. Anyone interested in learning more please email me at epll@shaw.ca or my phone number is 440-0992. We will be having a recruit a buddy program this year to try and get 10 to 12 year old players. The program will allow a player to get a discount on his registration if you get a buddy to sign up to play. We will send an email out to all parents when we finalize the discount.
